After the Battle of Coruscant, Captain Axximand Harken of the Venator Class Star Destroyer Warbringer modified his craft to have a dedicated forward mounted heavy cannon that was originally two heavy cannons from ground walkers at the battle of Geonosis.

After the Venator Class was slowly phased out of service in favor of the more powerful Victory and Imperial Star Destroyers, the Warbringer was stolen from its decomissioning birth by the famed Pirate Jonas Simbacca.

hmm? That's odd, your cannon is clipping part of the ship.
No, I don't mean that a mistake suddenly popped up out of nowhere, its that while I was looking at the downloaded version, I noticed something weird and pulled out a ruler. And the result is that, if i run the ruler on both vertical sides (aka lines) of the cannon, the right side is fine, but the left just barely misses the edge of the ship. Sounds like your ship is shooting itself in the foot...

And the reason I pulled out the ruler is because I'm looking at examples of ships with spinal cannons in a recess of the ship. I'm trying to draw out my own type of ship, and I want a spinal gun. Now, I just have to figure out if I want multiple small guns, or one large monster...

Anyways, there's my comment! Still an awesome ship though :)

OK! Seeing as you are correct, remember the scene from episode II that showed the huge energy cannons firing up at the escaping Trade Federation sphere ship? The energy blasts emerged from the center of the firing mechanism... they didnt bleed off to the left or right... so while you are correct and a round that large would clip itself.. it is an energy weapon... so Im ok!
Thats my excuse, and Im sticking with it! lol
